Körber AG acquires MTC S.R.L.

M&A in Tuscany

Lucca, Tuscany – The international technology group Körber, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, completed the acquisition of MTC Srl, a Tuscan company, based in Lucca, that develops, manufactures and sells interfolder / multifolder lines (tissue converting machines) for tissue paper products (facials, folded towels) – for which it is considered to be the global technological leader – as well as napkin converting lines. The objective of the acquisition is to further expand the Körber Group’s Business Area Tissue.

Körber AG is a strategic management holding which oversees the Group with the seven Business Areas: Automation, Logistics Systems, Machine Tools, Pharma Systems, Tissue, Tobacco and Corporate Ventures. The Group comprises leading-edge technology companies and over 100 production, service, and sales entities. With approx. 11,500 employees around the world the Körber Group generated sales of €2.3 billion.
